Ben Eberle

Massachusetts

Ben Eberle is a studio artist, kiln builder, writer and educator living and making his work in western, MA with over 25 years of practice in the field of contemporary ceramics. His training took him from Skidmore College in 2003, to a year-long apprenticeship with 20th-century master, Toshiko Takaezu. He finished his MFA at San JoseState University in 2008 and began teaching at Concord Academy until his departure in 2014. He moved to the hilltowns of western MA where he immersed in the two pottery tours and regional ceramics community. He built a community wood-fired soda kiln called the “Karma Kiln” in 2022 that provides his one-of-a-kind surfaces. His work has been featured in juried exhibitions and private collections all over the country, and continues to grow in its scale and scope.
