Elsa Boch
Paris, France
Elsa Boch is a French stylist and designer based near Nantes, with a background in textile and object design. After working with various studios and brands, she now focuses on her own practice as a pattern designer and ceramic artist. Elsa began working with ceramics in 2017, specializing in stoneware. Having transitioned from soft materials like textiles, she fell in love with clay’s malleability and calming presence. Her hand-built pieces, created using coil or slab techniques, embrace a slow, deliberate process. Elsa’s work primarily includes vases, boxes, small plates, and wall pieces, which combine rough textures with delicate decorative details. She is drawn to the contrast between the rough imprints of tools and the subtle glow of glazes in a muted palette. Influenced by British and Japanese ceramics, along with her passion for nature, textiles, and fashion, her work reflects a harmonious blend of these inspirations.
